Have you edited the threadbit template recently?
Tags being displayed as content are commonly caused by a misplaced quote mark.

I cannot tell you how to fix it, because I cannot see your template to determine what is broken.
The problem is in the threadbit template.
What was the last thing you did before it started displaying the tags?

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

bbcode wouldn't add anything to the beginning of your threads.
Do you have any Replacement Variables set up (under Style Manager)?
Create a new style with no parent:
Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

I would suggest:
- using a totally default file
- disabling all modifications
- making sure all files are completely default
Then see if you still have the same issue.

Have you looked at the actual thread title in the db? My guess is those somehow, likely through some mod, got added to the actual thread title and you aren't allowing html in posts/threads to be parsed.
