How to have thread starter receive emails

Is there a way to have the thread starter receive emails when someone replies? I do not want the people that reply to the thread to get emails, only the person that created the email should get emails when someone replies. Is this possible?

The user could set "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "Instantly, using email", and that will subscribe a user to a thread they start. But it also subscribes them to any thread they reply to. I think you would need a mod to have it work differently (I don't know if one exists or not).
