I discovered last night that we had over 45,000 spam blog posts in moderation... so I started deleting them last night. This morning another admin went through and did a user prune and removed a bunch of known spammers to try to also cut down on the blog spam.
Shortly afterwards both he and I were unable to see the blogs - we just got screens full of code. Logging in as a guest showed normal blogs.
I decided it would be smart to uninstall the blogs and reinstall them to fix the issue. I uninstalled the blog and immediately ended up with a database error on the site.

I don't know where to find the blogs to reinstall - I've tried searching several different ways and I'm at a loss.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

Just run the upgrade.php script again to reinstall the blogs.

If you delete the users, but not the blog posts they made, then you end up with an error (for admins only, I think). So, if you install the blog again, and get spam blog entries, make sure to delete the entries by these spammers!

Awesome, thank you!
That must be exactly what happened.
THe database error from removing the blogs was because of another add on we had that was looking for moderated posts in the blog area (that no longer existed) I shut down that add on and we're running just fine again.
