This is a quick fix for Admins who have run into this issue-
The issue is that Gmail and possibly other popular email clients do not recognize parentheses ( and ) as valid characters in a URL.
This becomes a problem if users are being emailed links to threads (via subscribed threads or forums) and the thread title has a ( or ) in the name.
The title will become broken in Gmail (and others) possibly stopping the link from working at all- but definitely looking bad and stopping users from going to the first new post for sure.
The quick fix is this mod- it is a single plugin that changes ( and ) to square brackets, [ and ] in a thread title, when a new thread is submitted.
There are no options and no documentation- install the mod and it turns on. It will only affect new threads, it will not change old threads.
This is easier than telling your users not to use para theses in thread titles.

Please "Mark as Installed" if you use this. :)
Donations always appreciated.
