Why use, DragonByte Custom Navigation?
There could be hundreds of reasons to utilize this product.
Say you and your staff want some navigation to be easier to find, no problem this mod is the answer.
You could also use it to allow your members to find some navigation items easier.
It can be used to work with usergroups, so if a member gets promoted, he would see the additional navigation items above the navbar, making them feel as if they earned something.

When you say branding free -This mod doesn't add a link to your site at the bottom of EVERY page on my site right?

DragonByte Tech

Yes it does, as the navigation items show up on all pages.

Ok, ok, last question. It is a No Follow correct?

DragonByte Tech

With the Pro version it allows you to set a no_follow to each one if desired.

Might try this out on a board where I care less about SEO - because irrelevant "Do_Follows" on the homepage are very bad for Google rankings, according to Matt Cutts last video. Sweet mod though

I have installed this. I have a custom header and had to move it down some so that it was not covering up the image.

Is there a way to move the navigation bar ???

There is a stylevar, dbtech_custom_nav_top found in the group DragonByteTechMods, increase the number found there till is shows correctly.

Why exactly eight? Is it possible (in a future update) to have more than eight?

I did something similar to one of my sites about a year ago with just some simple css added to the additional template. ;)
Can add as many buttons you want.

Thanks, glad ya like it.

Eight was determined to be the best number to not break the layout when they are above the navbar. If you are looking for more items to be added, perhaps this may be a good solution for you, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=274972&highlight=%5Bdbtech%5D

Nice Mod! I've installed this on a test area first, is there a way to change the text within the tabs? Seems a bit bold for my liking.

Edit the template, dbtech_custom_nav_tabs.css and add the following to the .dbt_custnav

padding-right: 15px;

You can change 15 to suit your needs. :)

So I've installed the dragon-bytes Custom Navigation mod and when enabled my navigation links get cut off.

After Install:

I'm guessing its not compatible with my template. Anyone knowledgable, know how to fix this?
