Does anyone know how to speed up a site? 5.0.0 is still deathly slow and I would love nothing more than to move one of my communities over to it.

Plenty of Red Bull, trust me :)

I have since noticed that this is an overwhelmingly common complaint with the release. I hope it's something that will get addressed in a future update.

We are using vb5.0 with xcache for php and memory caching and we find it really fast.. we also have gzip compression turned on and our server is tweaked quite a bit. But speed can be found; just have to work at it.

That looks good... how did you do your members list

It is a custom page. We used the header/footer trick that is posted here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=289333

and then wrote our own code to make the list.. very easy, just database calls.

Yes, agree, it is faster than what I have become used to of late. Not much faster but noticeably faster. I live in China so I really can't comment on speed with any amount of accuracy.

I did find on the opening page, an untidy overlap between the 2 sections.

Other than that, a fine job. I am using I.E 10 on win 7.
