Hey everyone,

I'm still fairly new to the idea of hooks, but I know they are needed in order to use certain functions in different templates.

So on our forum, we list the CMS link as a forum in our Forum Home listing. You can see it here at the very bottom (Library) :

http://psychopathfree.com/forum.php

Right now, I'm just doing an awful way of manually changing the "Last Post" HTML in forumbits template each time a new article is submitted.

What I would love is to have this updated automatically using the Recent CMS Articles sidebar block, which gives all of the information perfectly! But copying the code directly from block_cmsarticles obviously doesn't do anything, assuming because I need to do some hooks.

Could someone point me in the right direction here?

Thanks so much!

May i ask why you just didnt use the Articles tab that came with 4.2.0, each article can be enabled to allow comments, i am just curious.

Hi Ba'al, We do use it - called "Library | Home" on the top left. We renamed some stuff to match the site (Blogs became Journals, Thanks became Likes, etc). The main reason we also wanted to include it in the forums is because the forum gets way more traffic - figured it'd be a fun, realistic way to promote the Articles

Thanks!
