Hi, I did a search here on this site but couldn't find what I was really trying to do.
I have a forum which has notices for short notice activities which I want to enable members to get quick access to, I thought an RSS feed might be a solution. I have noticed that some of the forums already have a RSS feed link beside them but the forum I want to use for the above doesn't, so I'm assuming that I need to add a link. The problem is I don't know how to do it!
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Cheers
James

Go to admincp>rss feed manager>add new rss feed and in there you can add rss feeds and place them in the forum of your choice, you will have to create a username(RSSbot or whatever name you choose) and attach it to these feeds, and choose how often you want to run the feed and how many feeds you want it to pull and place in the forum.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Ba'al, I tried what you said but alas it doesn't seem to want to play nice.
What I'm trying to achieve is I have a forum called "Short Notice Fieldtrips" where members can post at short notice that they are planning a fieldtrip (we have real contact with members in our community) but it needs to get the word out to other members quickly and I've tried emails etc but some members are still saying they don't get advised soon enough to come on the outing...so I'm trying to figure out a way too notify members almost instantly, without member having to login to the forum.

Do you have a(true) RSS feed url to enter, that is the only reason i could see it not working, click the link in my siggy and then click the"Blogs Forum" in the top table, this is our RSS feed setup and how it should work.

Also if most of your members have Smartphones you can use Tapatalk to(If you have the Tapatalk Mod installed)to notify members by sending pm's which pop up on their phones using Tapatalk.
