How to show 'New Threads' on Forum

I've searched but can't find anything on this so am posting out of desperation hoping some kind soul can help me! :)

I'm running vB 4.2.0, is there any way to show 'New Threads' at the top of the forum?

I don't mean new posts, I mean new threads started. My members are complaining saying they're missing new threads and I'm looking for a way to highlight them on the front of the forum.

I don't use the CMS so a widget is no good.

Whether it be through plugins or template changes - I don't mind! :)

What is considered 'new' to you? 0 posts? within last week? Because some threads in some forums may have 0 posts but be years old...
