Hey everyone,

So I have a pretty decent vBulletin site that's been integrated with the vB CMS pretty heavily as well as a lot of customizations to the themes and even the themes for some of the mods/plugins. This site is going to be sold/traded to a friend who also has a vBulletin powered board.

I am wondering what's the best way I can do to transfer everything to him, but without all my cluttered data?

I'd like to keep the forum skin intact, the CMS/skin intact and the mods to stay installed and with the customizations for the skins they use (which isn't much)

Basically would like him to just import the skinning/mod parts and retain his data.

----------

What's the best way to do this, this is also using Cpanel on a shared host if that helps

Thanks in advance

So you are selling the site, as is (he will keep this site up), or you are selling the database so he can just import all the users and threads into his own forum?

Well, my site doesn't really need the content as it was an old project that I no longer need or use, so he can use his own database

I want to get him the skin/styles and the overall package of the mods if possible as I've also skinned some of them (downloads for example)

Basically the data is all that's changed not the styling/mods

You may export the style (Styles & Languages > Download/Upload Styles). And the same with any mods (although I would suggest that he download a fresh copy if the mod is from here).

I assume I would also have to pack up all the images and what not and send to him, it's just a couple of mods that I skinned as well, I'll pack those up as well.

Then all I have to do is is copy the images folder and pack them all up and send to him, let him throw the images on the server and upload the new styles, correct?

Yes, that should do it.

Hmm. could of sworn I tried this in the past and it ended in failure :P

Well, just keep your site up when you give him the style/images so if there is a problem you can go back and see what you missed.
