If you have a vbulletin skin installed, how do you remove hyperlinks from the footer that may have been placed there by marketing or design companies?
Thanks in advance.

Bump...If anyone knows, please help. I had a vbulletin skin/theme/template installed that I love, but they put a bunch of Russian hyperlinks in the footer that I would like to remove. When people click the links, it says the links will put their computers at risk. If you know how to remove links from a vbulletin footer, please let me know. Thank you so much!

You can, but you can't.
They have to be there because it's their work, not yours. Unless you get permission, you can't remove them.

If the links give virus might be best not to use that skin

Can you provide a link to your forum?

Just look in the footer template
Admin CP => Styles & Templates => Style Manager => Edit Templates => footer
If it's not there it might be in additional.css

It depends on how the links were added, some are simply template edits, some phrases to modify as naveeid noted and others are inserted via plugin. *Sounds to me like yours is simply template edits, a few links added in the footer template.
Please post a link to your site and the style in question so we can see and then reply appropriately. No one is willing to reply to such a vague inquiry because some folks come on here and try to trick us into disclosing how to remove the actual vBulletin copyright which is not allowed unless you purchase the branding free option. One of those many links in Russian could also be a link to the style creators site and may or may not need to be retained. I'm sure if they added the links to the style they wanted them to be seen but having them show or not show depends on their stipulations.
