Shoutbox Requirement Error [Archive]

I'm using Inferno 3.1.0 shoutbox, and decided to add a post requirement.

As the Shoutbox does not give that option itself, I added a usergroup promotion and set the shoutbox to 'hidden' for registered users.

Promotion is as follows: After 50 posts, 'Registered Users' get moved to 'Experienced Members' Shoutbox is visible to 'Experienced Members'.

Problem is, the shoutbox is still displaying for 'Registered Users' is there something I need to update in the general forum settings or?

I know it's a shoutbox bug, but maybe there is a fix? I don't want to use another shoutbox.

You should really post at that mod ''s support topic and/or forum.

It doesn't have one, it's an adaption of the original Inferno 2.5 made to work with vB 4.x

Is there no way to add a generic post requirement in the forumhome? similar to the method in this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=218345

but modified for vB 4.x?

We would have no idea since we don't know the modification. You need to post in the modification thread, or the place you got the modification, and ask this question.

What about making specific post requirements non-related the the shoutbox? as seen in: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=218345
