How to not send content of reply in "Reply to Topic" email?

I've been a member of some of other vB-based forums who do not send the actual reply in a thread but rather just a notice of some type that a reply has been created (thus prompting the user to visit the forum again). I've searched but failed to find a way to do this in vB 4.x. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to do this?

Examples:

Hi bigtoga,

A new post has been added to the GreatForum 'Other Unrelated Topics' forum.

Subject: Best sounding CDs/tracks?

The user will get notification of any post or thread they have participated in or an from any forum they have subscribed to ONLY if they have set their notification to send an email or pm, you shouldn't force this on users as it's classed as spamming if they didnt want or request it.

As for the message you'd have to edit the "notify" phrase in phrase manager.
