PM and post count

is there a way to set a min number of post count be for a new user can use the private message system ?? I did a search cant find anything on it . may be wording was wrong.

You could use a Promotion (under usergroups). Remove PM permission from the Registered Users group (Set Max Stored Messages to 0), then make another group that has a non-zero maximum and set up a promotion based on posts that moves users to that group. (You can also make it an Additional group and add it instead of moving it - it depends on how you want to manage your usergroups).

The best way to do that is use the ranks. I have forum permissions set up also. Hope this helps, if not, I'll be glad to help you if you send me a message as this is something that I do know about.
