Spamomatic Blocking unusually high(?) number of spammers

Forum has only been up for about a month and a half. Installed Aksimet key and Spamomatic. In just the last 2 1/2 weeks has blocked over 2500 spammers. How can I tell if it is only blocking legitimate spam or is blocking legitimate new user registrations?

Questions/Problems regarding modifications/styles need to be asked in the modification/style thread. That is where the support for modification/style is - not out here in the main forums. Please note that if a modification/style is unsupported (or even if it says it is supported), you may be on your own if you chose to install it.

The way to check is to try and sign up yourself. I had various complaints to my contact us email with people notifiying that they are being classed as spammers. When i tried to sign up myself I saw that I was classed as a spammer. As a result, I stopped using spam-o-matic and added Q&A, country profile field and also key captcha.

All in all, 0 spammers have gotten through
