forum footer still shows old version?

I upgraded to patch level 3.8.7 Patch Level 3 but forum footer still showing
older 3.8.4?

Did the upgrade involve running an upgrade script? I don't know if it's supposed to or not, but if you didn't run an upgrade script then I don't think the version could change.

Simply copied files, no script involve.
