This mod allows you to specify threads that are stickied across multiple forums, including universally and set a limit on how long this remains in effect.

It works on 4.1.10.
There was an extra space in the query by the TABLE_PREFIX. It's been corrected in the zip or you can just manauly remove it from your version.
Line 119:
FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread_global_stickies AS f inner join " . TABLE_PREFIX . " thread AS t on t.threadid = f.threadid
Should be:
FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread_global_stickies AS f inner join " . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread AS t on t.threadid = f.threadid

Similar issue with the install routine, it had a ` mark that conflicted with your prefix.
Should work if you reinstall now.
will this be working on 4.2 pl2 -

More that I'm releasing things I've been sitting on forever. I have so much built into my installation that I take for granted that it's a pain to export addons that rely on things the rest of vBulletin doesn't have but always should've.

Can this be made to work with regular threads as well?

As there is no requirement for a thread to have already been a sticky somewhere question is moot. But if you don't make it sticky in the forum it's actually in, it's not going to be sticky in that forum, obviously.

Ok so if I understand this correctly it will work with any thread.
Does this make the thread function in the same manner as the original thread? Shows with views/replies? Last post on the forum index? Everything the exact same?
Just basically works as a redirect right?

There is no difference between this and normal stickying of a thread beyond the fact it appears in more than one forum, or a forum other than where it actually resides.
It's not really a redirect because it does exactly what any other threadbit does; Shows a thread and takes you there if you click it. It just happens to be showing a thread that is cross-posted to more than one forum.

You are severely over thinking. Install it and test it to your heart's content. This is not rocket science. It does not require a demo. It's not a massive life decision that will forever alter the world.

umm relax please.
I've been wanting something like this and just want to see if it works how I pictured it. I don't necessarily just install anything as I like to make sure others are using it without issue.
I just have questions. If you made this to help the community why not take questions from the community constructively?
I'll install it and try it out. Was hoping if it there were tweaks or changes to suggest you would be willing to work on them but you seem hostile.

you seem hostile.
You'll have to forgive me for not being able to understand what part of 'it makes a sticky visible in more than one location' is so complex that it required you three posts and a request for a demo when stickies are a native concept to vbulletin and you should already be pretty clear on what they look like and not being able to explain it any clearer than stating what it does.
