Trouble with selecting forum style in 3.8.7

I want to switch to the Default style from a different style so I go to the bottom and select "Default Style". It changes everything to Default, but when I click on a forum section or any other link on the forum, it changes back to the other style. I checked my User CP and it says my selected style is Default, so I'm stumped for what to do to fix this.

Any way to resolve this problem?

Edit the forum thru the forum manager and verify you didnt set & force a style via the forum style settings in each forum.
