Copy threads to another vB installation?

We currently run a small network of vB forums. We would like to move a subforum worth of threads from one installation to an existing installation. Is this possible?

Sure.

Backup.
Make another copy of the forum.
On this copy delete all forums/threads that you don't need to move.
Use Impex to import the rest.
