You can always run vBulletin side-by-side with something like WordPress.
There's no need to integrate.
What are you trying to accomplish, specifically? (Include any needs features.)

I'm running 3.8.7 and did the blog addon vB sold when it came out some years back. It's OK, and it is integrated so people in the forum don't have to do a different login, but - My recommendation is the same as kpmedia's - Do a separate blog rather than an integrated blog. It's too late for me to do it, but if I knew then what I do now I'd set up a separate blog. Actually it's used so little I probably wouldn't set up a blog at all.
