Hi All,
I've recently been experiencing slower and slower speeds to my website over the last two week. Server is hosted in the US and I'm in Australia. Myself and several other Aussies have noticed the drop in load times for it all. Myself as the admin have noticed that the speed is the same in the AdminCP and the Forum its self. I've done some WebTests from parts around the US and some of those are getting 28 seconds to first byte (myself can be anywhere from 20 - 80 seconds to first byte). Just wondering if anyone has any theories as to what could be causing this. I have a feeling that its my host and they have done something but won't admit their mistake.

Website: http://www.anzbf3.com
Cheers in advance guys! My members are tearing their hair out!
PS: I have posted in the vbulletin.com forums but there is VERY little activity/response.
EDIT: The website did have some DB errors when users were Quick Replying but that seems to have fixed its self.

It does load very slowly and just as I was looking at all the items in your sidebar (and I was going to recommend you remove them and see if that makes a difference), I got this message:
Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
www.anzbf3.com contains content from www.uni.ae, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.

I too saw that warning via chrome, however, inspecting it with adblock on firefox & searching through the source code, I could find no resources from uni.ae on that site.

Thanks fir the responses guys. I'll try disabling the sidebar and see if this helps. Are there any general vb housekeeping things that I can do? I got another response from my host and they are certain that its because I am based in Australia and the website is Hosted in the US. I noticed that Lynne said its slow but IS in the US... lol

[UPDATE] Disabled the Sidebar and the slowness still remains. Keep in mind that even within the AcminCP it is super slow. It takes 10 seconds for it to recognize I've clicked on a button and process my request.

It looks like you have a big problem with the hosting server, first byte time is horrendous.

They say that there is nothing wrong. But they are probably in the same building as the server.....

strange...
Now your site is no longer there, the default site is shown very fast.
So i think it might have something to do with your site content / plugins.

I bet the OP is changing hosts.

Hi All,
I've recently been experiencing slower and slower speeds to my website over the last two week.
Good example: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/120921_75_CJG/1/details/
Website: http://www.anzbf3.com
By the looks, your tag cloud is causing quite a ridiculous delay- remove it:
URL: http://anzbf3.com/css.php?styleid=3&langid=1&d=1344091577&td=ltr&sheet=sidebar.css,widgets.css,tagcloud.css
Host: anzbf3.com
IP: 208.117.32.40
Location: Chicago, IL
Error/Status Code: 200
Start Offset: 59.171 s
Initial Connection: 262 ms
Time to First Byte: 35108 ms
Content Download: 47 ms
Bytes In (downloaded): 5.7 KB
Bytes Out (uploaded): 0.4 KB
Apparently, whatever customizations you added to your additional .css file is causing major issues as well:
URL: http://anzbf3.com/css.php?styleid=3&langid=1&d=1344091577&td=ltr&sheet=additional.css
Host: anzbf3.com
IP: 208.117.32.40
Location: Chicago, IL
Error/Status Code: 200
Start Offset: 59.471 s
DNS Lookup: 50 ms
Initial Connection: 262 ms
Time to First Byte: 34800 ms
Content Download: 0 ms
Bytes In (downloaded): 0.5 KB
Bytes Out (uploaded): 0.3 KB
It appears to be your vb skin that is the issue, switch back to default and run the same webspeed test to see if you have the same issues- the load time is fixed:

Tweak your theme and clean it up.
