Issue with email notification in subscribed threads

We have a member having issues with email notifications of subscribed threads. She receives email notifications of new posts in her subscribed threads, and views the thread by clicking the thread link in the email. This link directs her to the LAST new post in the subscribed thread. With the exception of ONE thread, which links her to the FIRST post in the thread.

I don't see any settings that would cause ONE thread to default to the first post in the thread, instead of the last/newest?

Anyone have any suggestions?

Have her unsubscribe from the thread, have someone else post to the thread, have her resubscribe to the thread.
