View Full Version : Not Authorized to Search Users in Mod CP

We have three moderators and two of them can use the search for user option just fine, yet the other gets the message "Not Authorized to Search Users". Obviously I'm missing something but I can't find where that access option would be. Can anyone help out?

Ummm right....where is there a permission set for the search ability in the modcp?

admincp > forums & moderators > show all moderators > edit permissions

Thank you for your response. However, when I go there, you can edit the permissions for the sections the moderator is moderating. I don't see anything that gives permission, when the moderator is logged into the modcp, to search for users.

Am I really missing it or maybe I'm not understanding, sorry.

That is what I get for not looking at the page! Are all of your moderators in the exact same primary usergroup? And exact same secondary usergroups?

And they are trying to search from the front page of the modcp where it says "Quick User Search"? Or from some other page? And are they all moderators of the same forums or all different forums?

Yes, he's trying to search from Quick User Search and all three are moderators of the exact same areas. Thanks!

Might be best to put in a support ticket get someone else to look at it fresh eyes and all it is always something simple

Have you tried logging into his account and verified the problem?

Have you tried disabling all modifications on your site and seeing if he still has the same problem?

I have same issue - what is the solution. Nowhere to enable moderators to search users in the mod cp.

Most likely your problem is not related to the other users. After you have tried all of @Lynne's suggestions and still have a problem, open a new thread listing your own facts regarding your issue. :)
