Is it worth investing in vbseo? Whats the best thing i could do that helps optimizing my site to where it shows up on google. The only way it seems i can find my site is when i type in the exact url.
any ideas?

If your site is new and you have little content and visitors then it wont show in serps for some time, vbseo does nothing to get your ranking better, it simply enhances the way your links...etc look to people and search engines, vb4 is much better at SEO now than vb has ever been so i'd say you can do without vbseo.

The only way to get yourself seen in the serach engines is by working hard at your content, getting back links to your content from other sites and attracting visitors.

Sorry but there really isn't a shortcut :(

Once your site starts getting indexed by Google then your best ally will be good content. You can have your forum as SEO'ed as it is possible, but it won't matter if your content isn't good/enough.

The more fresh content you have every day the better. Use proper tags on your posts and articles, if you can create a custom page on your forums that would help a lot as well.

Use images with proper titles and alts as well. Do not name your images with more than 2 words and avoid using caps for your images or file names.
