Is this a vbseo question?
If so, you should ask on their support site.

ok i uploaded the original htacess file from vbseo and i still get /thread21.html#post57 on the end of my url when you click a thread instead of the cat and title or like this site showthread. Anyone know how to fix this?

also when you go to my site it takes you straight to activity instead of forum. also looking for advice. Thank you. site www.chronicgamerz.com

Not a vbseo question, see original thread https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=271260

If it's not a vbseo issue, why do you keep uploading the vbseo htaccess file?
If it's not a vbseo issue, I'd suggest looking at the default htaccess file (if there is one) with vBulletin.

that is by design with vbulletin 4.2, you can change that in the navigation manager.

Sorry i have been deployed for the last year and have forgot a lot. the only htacess file i could find was the one i uploaded when i installed vbseo, i made the changes in it and wasn't sure if that was where i was suppose to. so i re-installed the original htacess from the download until i get get confirmation here. and also when i click on a thread it is showing /thread21.html#post57 instead of the title of the thread and post.Thank you for the info.

If you have vbseo installed, and you have a question about using the vbseo htaccess file and are questioning the results, then this really is a vbseo question and you should ask on their site for help.

And as Brandon said, thanks for serving! :)

Thank you Lynne you have always helped so much. This really isn't a vbseo question tho, I have realized that is the only htacess file i have, Im simply asking how to get rid of the /thread21.html#post57 and show the title of the thread and post. and when you go too my site activity is the homepage as Brandon explained which is great but the url shows a lot of numbers after activity. Thank you all

Then remove the htaccess file, turn off vbseo, and use the Friendly URL type (in AdminCP > Settings > Options > Friendly URLs) that you want to use.
