Abnormal increase in the number of posts in VB4.2

Hello Guys


I recently upgraded my forum From vb 3.8 to vb4.2
every thing is ok , but There is an unusual thing .

When a user group such as Moderator , post in a topic in usual 1 post be added to her posts but in my forum 10 post be added to her posts :o

for exam i have 1000 posts , but when leave a comment to a thread my posts turned to 1010 :O

Really do not know what i can do

Try updating your counters through the maintenance panel in the AdminCp.

i,ve Do that also updated all table in maintenance panel but still i have problem

It's hard to see how that would happen with the normal vb code - maybe try disabling all your mods and see if it still happens.

i disabled all plugin for some hour and check it again , but not fixed !

Hmm..then I'm not sure. How did you disable them? You should try putting

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', 1);


at the top of your config.php file, just under the <?php, and see if that has any effect. Also, if you haven't made any changes to the vb php files, you could try uploading the files again. But I don't see why that would fix it except if you made a change you forgot about.

You could also try creating a new style with no parent and see what happens when you use that.

Are you sure you don't have anything going on such as a modification to display 10 times your post count? Or maybe your postbit template has a hard-coded "0" after the post count?

If you use DISABLE_HOOKS, unmodified vb files, and a new style and it still happens, I'm out of ideas.
