Hi,

I'd like to be able to set up a subscription system that will force users to pay (via paypal) after their initail 30days are up.

Any easy way I can go about this, I've looked in promotions but it doesnt seem to give you any option to make them pay!

So for example:

User registers on 1st july > after 30 days I would like the user to pay to stay.

I've set up a new usergroup for these users to 'go into' but need a way of making it work.

thanks for your time :D

You could promote them to a usergroup that is blocked from reading/posting. Serve them a "Notice" that they need to subscribe and point them to the vB's subscription page. When they pay, promote them to a usergroup that has access to reading / posting.

Of course, this is easily circumvented - the user needs to just create a new account.

Here's the instructions for trial memberships:

There should be a mod on here somewhere for duplicate account detection - that might be useful for you too. It won't stop registrations from the same IP, but will let you know that they exist.
