emergency help needed

Hello,
I have tried top upgarde to 4.2.0 , it didn't work out. never mind.
I tried to dowgrade by running over the files in the Forum directory
(deleted everything and uploaded the backup)
The forum is back But I get ????? sign insted of my site title (it was in hebrew).
I went in the settings and checked the forum title and it's fine.
my forum url is s-maof.com (s-maof.com)

any ideas??

Are you saying that you restored the database from before the update? During this process, did you change your config.php? (There's a setting in there that has to do with your database char set).

no. the database was left untouched. the config.php is the same as it was from before the backup.

BUT NEVER MIND - it worked out out it's own. very weird.
