Hi

I'm looking for an honest opinion on our site, I was left with running the site after are main coder left. I knew nothing about how our forum worked (in the back ground) only seven months ago. With the help of some guys on here and plenty of reading I think I'm finally getting the hang of it.

Any comments good or bad I'd like to hear them.

Thanks ForceHSS, Any ideas on how to fix it? It's only been like that since I added an add on from DragonByte Tech.

Your body css link attribute is current set at color: #01203D --- that's a dark color and blends into your background. You should change it to #ffffff to match the rest of the footer text.

Anyway - not bad. The style looks a bit dated, but it's custom and nicer than a lot of other vB 4.x forums I've seen lately.

You do have a code issue though in the main forum index "Last Post" section:

Anyway - good job!

The theme looks really out dated to me, use something more clean and pleasant to the eyes.

Thanks J for the good feed back and detailed post. Any tips on what's wrong with the forum index last post would be a great help.

Could you point me to some good examples of a clean and more pleasing on the eye look?

that's the reason you got that user is offline issue.

try using single quotes instead of double quotes when edititing usergroup html markup in usergroup manager

If I'm being honest I'd be unsure what your exactly referring to, still a bit of a novice ;)

when you edited the usergroups in usergroup manager you added a code in Username HTML Markup. For example

<span style="color: #007FFF">

that code should be

<span style='color: #007FFF'>

I think your site looks real nice. Very easy to read and is pleasant on the eyes. At least in my opinion. I love the little fish icons that you have pointing to the thread titles. I like the the posters name in color as well. I would like to know how to add the icons and the poster name in color. Real fine job.

The one thing that I would most definitely do away with is this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/08/1.jpg?t=1345668671

The concept is fine. I would do away with the threatening tone. Perhaps say: "after a 176 days we are pleased to see that you are still visiting us! We would love to meet you and would be delighted to assist you in making a post or simply introducing yourself"...

Best wishes.

The footer text and links are the same color as the document background and should be changed.
