Creating an integrated look to main site

I have a main site and a forum, with the main site made using WordPress. vBulletin has its own header area but I like the idea of having a more integrated look. i.e. The home page looks similar to the vbulletin home page.

Has anyone here tried that approach or got any suggestions?

Sorted now. I had to copy some WordPress code into the vBulletin header.
