So I'm currently using the latest version of 3.8 (just installed it). When I try to upload an avatar, I get this:
Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/nightclo:/usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp) in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 276
Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 282
As well as a vbulletin message saying this: Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.
Now i think I've found the solution, click here (https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/341175-Avatar-Upload-Upload-failed-due-to-failure-writing-temporary-file) and here (https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/299757-Warning-tempnam()). However firstly, I have no idea how to work the solution as all that tech jargon goes over my head. If somebody could give me a dummy run down of what to do, that would be fab.
