Loading Speed Help

Was wondering if someone could help, because I have no idea what's going on with my forum..

When I load the page (In IE, Firefox, or chrome) the page appears to load at an acceptable speed, but then the browser just sits there doing.. 'something' for 5 - 10 seconds before it finishes loading the page (you will see the delay between when the page appears to have loaded, and then when the ad shows up in the top banner)

so if you have clicked a link to a particular post, the thread page loads, then 5 - 10 seconds later scrolls you down to the post, which is seemingly annoying for my users..

I have tried with all plugins disabled, using the default theme.. nothing seems to make any difference..

Any help would be much appreciated :)

sometimes that happens to me and 9 times out of 10 it's the facebook features that take forever.

I find that the less amount of external scripts loading on your site, the faster it is.
