Does anyone know of a modification which allows you to change the prefix of a thread when viewing it? Instead of having to edit the post to get the to prefix?

At the moment to change a prefix on a thread I have to do -

Click on the thread, edit the post (which brings up quick reply), click on advance edit, click on the prefix and then save.

That's a lot of steps to just change the prefix of a thread!!

What I would love to be able to do (keeping all permissions intact) is when viewing a thread, have a the prefix box somewhere, just select the prefix and it automaticall changes it, or at a maximum have a 'go' button beside the prefix to execute it.

I offer a service on my website where we check 'stuff' for our users in a private forum. It goes back and forth content wise so I am continually having to update the threads to say whether feedback has been sent or not, which gets REALLY tiresome with all those steps.

Anyone fancy doing this if theres no current mod for it?

All you need to do is click on the thread > Thread Tools > Edit > change the prefix.

As for modifications, use the search in the upper right corner, enter "prefix" select "all mods" "thread titles only" and you will find several mods.

Lynne I don't have an 'edit' under thread tools.

I did do a search and only found one which was for vbulletin 3. I'll have a look again anyhow.

Whoops, I was looking at this thread and telling you were it was. In vB4, it is called Administrative > Edit Thread.
