Fake Quick Reply for Guests

Can someone tell which modification is this? It shows a quick reply box to guests but once they press submit button, it throws up a message to register.

I've seen one like this that has an image in it and when you click or type in it you get sent to the login or register page.

I'm also interested in finding this mod.. anyone?

Just to throw it out there, that might not be the best way to go about it. Let's say someone spent some time writing out a thoughtful post for their first post, and they get sent to your registration page. Then, something goes wrong in the process and the post they made is lost. They can definitely write another, but I think anyone who manages a website has had something like that happen before.. and it sucks.

Just keep that in mind.

You have a valid point. I see WHT has implemented a better idea on similar lines.

They have added a screenshot of quick reply and clicking on it redirects to registration page.

It's probably just an absolute positioned div on top of the edit box.

also, i once commissioned a "quick login" mod. i dont remember who did it for me. i wish i did, i cant even find the thread or any of the emails. its been a while.

but you might be able to use it. it opens a div like a popup, similar to the one in the picture you put up.

in fact, it is very likely that the mod you are looking for is very similar to this mod, except on the quick reply bit, they have a: <if condition="$bbuserinfo[usergroupid]==x">fake post button<else />real login button</if>, wherein the quick registration popup is launched when you click the fake login button.
