This might require custom programming. Unfortunately, it appears that a MOD may not exist for what you want. It is an interesting concept and you might be able to take something like 'Dbtechs Thankyou' MOD or something similar and accomplish this with a bit of programming.

Which developers? The vBulletin developers ?Then you should put a request in the bug tracker at vBulletin.com. If you mean the developers here, then you'd need to hope someone likes your idea and wants to spend their free time adding this addon.
