Hello all :)

After I upgraded to 4.2.0 from 4.1.9 I got a list of "Out-of-date" template notifications, I had 19 in total. The template I use is "smooth red" from here.

The forum was 100% fine after the update for a few days, but today I decided to tackle these out of date notifications.

I dismissed 13 of these "errors" but the rest I could not get rid of. I looked about online and it was suggested to "revert" these failed merged template pages.

So I have gone and reverted 2 of these and checked to see for any bugs.

1.) Was for blog.css (I think) and I seen no problems because I don't use this feature.
2.) Was for FORUMHOME (I think it had .css after)

It's after creating a problem, which I now cannot revert / undo.

The problem -

The "ul.floatcontainer" on the home page has no image behind it now, it's just broken and transparent. I have checked this in all browsers.

This bar is the one that contains the search box, new posts, new messages, FAQ, calendar etc
- I have re-installed the theme but it won't fix it. The VB default theme is fine however.
- I have also re-uploaded a clean index.php file but it also won't work.

In hindsight I should have saved the code before I reverted, but hindsight won't help me now!

Any ideas on how I can fix this? I don't want to post a link to the site, as its quite controversial.

you should of reverted all of them and remove the custom skin and install a updated one for the vb version you are running

OK well I don't want to create any more damage than there is.

The template is not up 4.2.0 but at the same time it was working 100% fine for me.

Is there any way I can fix this manually? Thanks for reply by the way :)

Revert any customized Navbar templates.
AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > *Style Variable Editor in the drop-down then click Go* > Scroll to find the NavBar stylevars, edit the first one i.e. navbar_background and set the background then save.
