Ok, I'm totally confused how or why it works.

EDIT2: I found it, it wasn't generating the code when there was no username, I changed it a bit for myself to show it even then, depends on taste I guess.

It does work, but only when quoting someone (with username for example), and it could probably even work on any other vB4 (vB3 with changing the vB codes). I posted a small edit on first page to include cases when those are quotes without a username to make them slightly more quotish.

Problem is, I highly doubt someone is going to create such a personalised look for their site, giving them a really distinctive look, and then promptly provide instructions for everyone to copy it.

Of course, I might be wrong, some people do share these things, but with things like this it will often be the case. I learned how to do mine myself from following various tips and articles on here, that's the best way forwards.

Thanks, however already made myself a simple image for my forum. I don't think the blue would go with my grey/green theme either.

Easy to do. Go to the "Admin Control Panel" Select: Styles & Templates > Style Manager

Next to the style you want to edit select "Style Variable Editor" and press Go.

Now you may scroll way down the list till you see bbCode or you may also type "quote" in the search box which will only list the quote items under bbCode.

Now you may do with as you like. Remove the boarder, change the boarder, change the style of the boarder. place color in the boarder, etc. etc.

That looks like an error in your PHP code that is causing that to show. Double check the code, or copy and paste it here in [CODE] tags for us to look at.
