Presumably this would be pretty simple with a "div" tag or three but I can't get it to behave as I would like it to behave. Obviously I'm not real adept with CSS but until trying to do this I thought I was minimally competent. :o

Any help would be appreciated, TIA!

Below is a pic in case I'm not clear as well as the section of post bit code I'm talking about.

<div class="userinfo<vb:if condition="!$show['avatar']">_noavatar</vb:if>">
<div class="contact">
<vb:if condition="$show['avatar']">
<a class="postuseravatarlink" href="{vb:link member, {vb:raw post}}" title="{vb:rawphrase {vb:raw post['onlinestatusphrase']}, {vb:raw post.username}}">
<vb:if condition="$post.avatarurl">
<img src="{vb:raw post.avatarurl}" alt="{vb:rawphrase xs_avatar, {vb:raw post.username}}" />
<vb:else />
<img src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/unknown.gif" />
</vb:if>
</a>
</vb:if>
<div class="username_container">
<vb:if condition="$post['userid']">
{vb:raw memberaction_dropdown}
{vb:raw post.onlinestatus}
<vb:else />
<span class="username guest">{vb:raw post.musername}</span>
</vb:if>
<span class="usertitle">{vb:raw post.usertitle}</span>
<vb:if condition="$post['field7']">
<dt><b>Real Name: {vb:raw post.field7}</b></dd>
</vb:if>
<vb:if condition="$post['age']">
<dt>{vb:rawphrase age}: {vb:raw post.age}</dd>
</vb:if>
<vb:if condition="$post['field16']">
<dt>4x4: {vb:raw post.field16}
</dd>
</vb:if>
<vb:if condition="$post['field2']">
<dt>{vb:rawphrase location_perm}: {vb:raw post.field2}</dd>
</vb:if>
<vb:if condition="$post['joindate']">
<dt>{vb:rawphrase join_date}: {vb:raw post.joindate}</dd></vb:if>
<dt>{vb:rawphrase 'member_number'}: #{vb:raw post.userid}</dd>
<dt>{vb:rawphrase posts}: {vb:raw post.posts}</dd>
{vb:raw template_hook.postbit_userinfo_left}
</div>
</div>
<vb:if condition="$post['userid']">
<div class="userinfo_extra">
<dl class="userstats">
<vb:if condition="$post['rank']">
<span class="rank">{vb:raw post.rank}</span>
</vb:if>

Your postbit code doesn't tell us the information we need. You need to post a link so we can see the CSS. Most likely you have a set width for one of the divs that the iPad doesn't like and so it is putting the information below the avatar.

Your stuff on the right is set to take up 300px:
.postbit .userinfo .userinfo_extra, .postbit .userinfo_noavatar .userinfo_extra {
float: right;
font-size: 11px;
text-align: right;
width: 300px;
}
So, I'd suggest playing with that and see if you can make it work.

Thank you so much Lynn! It works exactly as I wanted by decreasing the width you pointed out to 120 to fit my rank images and then increased the width shown below from 50% to 60%

.postbit .userinfo .contact, .postbit .userinfo_noavatar .contact {
position: relative;
float: {vb:stylevar left};
clear: {vb:stylevar right};
width: 60%;
display:block;
}

You made my day! :up:
