Hello,

Sometimes a big problem can be resolve in a very simple way. And the big problem for all webmaster is the spamming. So, if you've an idea of what check must be done to the posts in your forums share it here. The most popular of them will be include in a final package which I think that will helps us to reduce more the amount of spam posts.

Please note that following restrictions exist:
I'm talking for local content check and not for other solutions. eg hidden fields, or connection to other services.
The amount of first post that should be place in moderation (if check meets a criteria) should be dynamic according to your settings.
You can suggest many ideas but please one per post, so user who agree with it, to click "Like".
Avoid Quotes as soon the thread will looses its meaning.
Ideas with at least 5 Likes will be add in a later time in a poll.
Also note that as it will be a product file with settings, you can turn any check off, in case that you don't count it as important. From my own experiance, I believe that following check must be including.
95% of the spam message are long ones. eg more than 500 characters. So its good to place in auto-moderation new posts which they are more than xxx characters long.
I found that when there are links in the post, most of them are missing "www". eg they look like: "http://girlforall.ajdhajkh.sajkhdsaj.ru. So I think that a check for missing "www" in links should be fine.
Webmasters to be able, instead to remove all links, to remove only those links ending in some tlds. eg .ru, .ua etcLet's give a try. You never know;)

Good Idea.

The main weakness for spammers is that somehow, somewhere , sometime, they must post a link to the site that they get paid from, otherwise in the case of most spammers it is a waste of their time to post.

Some spammers will post simple nice comments, until they get to ten posts and then post a link.

If a mod can detect the links then maybe it can be used to stop the spammer?
