DragonByte Tech

vBSignatures lets your members create a custom signature for themselves, using custom text and signature parts purchased from a shop.

Uses
vBSignatures allows your members to easily create unique, customised signatures without any art talent being required. It comes including dozens of options and images giving thousands of possible combinations, and allows you to add your own images and layers so your members can use artwork unique to your forum. This is also a great way to let your members create custom signatures that they will use elsewhere to represent your forum.

I'm gonna need more details on what exactly it is you are doing when you receive that error message.

I get it on every page i view for the system. Eg If i just load: http://www.yourpshome.net/vbsignatures.php I'll get it.

In that case, please ensure you uploaded the contents of the upload folder directly, as that does not happen on a default install :)

Everything was uploaded in the folder system that the install says and is in the upload zip. I'm going guess its a php setup that's making the error, people can turn off php error reporting and it will remove all the errors and the system will still work.

I uninstalled and re-uploaded everything just to make sure. I'm running several other mods from you that all work just fine but I'm still receiving all those errors when I go to any of the mods pages as C.Birch said above.

In that case, could either of you PM me with a FTP account as well as a user account that can access vBSignatures? If so, I may be able to suppress these without needing to turn off error reporting :)

vBSignatures v1.0.2
Feature: Now compatible with vBulletin 4.2.0's Navigation Manager.
Feature: Rotating Signatures: If your members have signatures from more than one signature style, they can now have them rotate (one will get picked at random on each page load)
Feature: Per-User Add Points: You can now add points to individual users

Fillip

DragonByte Tech

Due to a logistical error, the previous version was branded as v1.0.2 (a bugfix update) instead of v1.1.0 (feature update). We feel that the Signature Rotation feature is big enough to warrant a bump to v1.1.0.

The discovery of a design flaw in the mod that was not exposed until now that prevented the Signature Rotation from working properly presents us with an opportunity to correct this.

vBSignatures v1.1.0
Feature: Rotating Signatures: If your members have signatures from more than one signature style, they can now have them rotate (one will get picked at random on each page load)
Feature: Per-User Add Points: You can now add points to individual users
Fix: Saving more than one signature style in the Inventory will no longer remove the "Base" image from the other signature style.

i have a question, is there a way i can change the images...well i know how to change them but change the location and such so when finish it ends up looking like this

DragonByte Tech

You can inspect the parts images in the package to find out how the overlay system works, then create your own graphics for use with the mod :)

Fillip

DeadlyDuckling
08-19-2012, 01:22 AM
i have all the graphics i cant figure out how to position everything

DragonByte Tech
08-21-2012, 05:58 PM
You need to create all the graphics in the same size (400x200 or whatever vBSig's default is, you can find that out via image properties) and they need to be transparent PNGs with transparent empty space for the remainder of the image.

You can look at the existing images in an editor like Photoshop to see how they should be made :)

Update

Hotfix: PHP 5.4 Compatibility fixes

This does not guarantee the mod is error free on PHP 5.4, but it will take care of the reported errors. Thank you all for your reports :)

Is this still working.? (4.2.2)
I'm confused on what to do after installation & permissions given.??
Do i need to add images or are there some installed somewhere.?

I'm not seeing any option to create a signature.
Thanks
*****************
Ok i guess it just took longer than i expected for the images to show up. :)

New question, where do we add new images.? (straight to an images folder?)
Also is there a PSD template?

Thanks again

DragonByte Tech
09-20-2014, 05:19 PM
New images can be added to /dbtech/vbsignatures/images and its sub-folders, though they do need to be sliced in a very specific way.

There's no PSD templates at this time, sorry :(
