I am a valid owner of a vBulletin license, so why do I get the below error message every time I log into this site?

You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To download modifications and/or participate in our community. You will need to prove that you have a valid vBulletin license. To do this, go to vBulletin.com Member Support. Upon entering the support area, enter and/or verify your "Contact Email Address". For further information, please read our "Showing Up As Unlicensed?".

To protect our customers privacy you will need to Opt-In license validation for all Support Sites. You need to authorise vBulletin.org from the vBulletin.com Members' Area in order to validate your license status. You can do this at Priority Forum Support. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

Yes, I have followed that link several times, I log in with my customer ID and password, then it shows me a screen with my email address, which is all correct. After that everything seems to be ok.

The problem I am having is when I google for something and click a google link within vBulletin, then I always get that message that I'm not registered. Example: I googled for "vbulletin styles" and it gave me this link:

-Non vbulletin.org link removed-

the link you show here is not redirecting to THIS site... all other sites related to vBulletin are not officials and are not sharing users database.

If you want to PM me your email address you are registered here with and your customer number I will take a look.

Here is the "form" answer:

Ancient Dragon,

You are currently showing up as unlicensed.

To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-Germany users click here (http://members.vbulletin-germany.com/membersupport_priority.php)) and enter your email address. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

To protect our customers privacy you will also need to Opt-In to license validation for all Support Sites. You must authorise vBulletin.org in order to validate your license status here. You can do this at the page linked above for your distributor. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

The update of your account can take up to one hour.

Thank you.

Your customer e-mail address must match the e-mail address you use here - atm there are no customer records for your vb.org e-mail.

I would if I can figure out how to do that. The email I regisered on this site is the same as that I registered on vbulletin.com where I bought my copy of vbulletin. I don't want to post my cust ID here on this public forum and I can't find a PM button anywhere.

I'm really getting very frustrated with vBulletin to the point of discarding it and using another bb program.

You are not using the same email address as the one on your license. I just did a search for you in the customer database using the email address you are using here and got no matching records.

I would suggest you put in a ticket to support@vbulletin.com to get this worked out.
