Undeletable user

I went to prune members of our form and came across a old admin member that i been debating whether to delete or not but he has had a ! next to his name and i thought it would be to much trouble ..... but i decided its now time that i removed him

even after removing all his rights in usergroup options and going on the ftp and removing his name(number) from the undeletable in the includes config and also his number from anywhere in this file

the ! next to his name still stands, in admin when im trying to prune it still says he is a moderator so i have spent the last 2 hrs trawling through the ftp and websites trying to solve the problem

so here i am any ideas why i cant delete him ?

so you removed his userid and replaced it with yours in the config and when you go to delete or edit him in any way it says you cant? Have you checked he does not have a 2nd user group

I removed all his usergroups apart from registered user

I always have been admin for about 7yrs now so just deleted his userid in config and left mine

The condition for displaying the ! button says you can't delete yourself, members of group 5 or 6, an unalterable user, or a user listed as a moderator of a forum. So I'm guessing in your case it's the last one causing the problem (ETA...as I see you suspected already). Maybe try Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators.

You might have set his ID number in the config.php ???
There is an option to make members undeletable.

yeah tried that before i posted ... not showing there


ForceHSS - i dont want to ban his ip as that wont solve the prob and ips unfortunately change


Stefan118 - I have edited the config php and removed all his user id


oh well i was hoping maybe another file somewhere to edit but anyways thanks for the help
