I've been working on a theme for quite some time... today I finally decided to make it the default theme for all users.. however when I did this..

All user avatars shrunk to a smaller size..
all editing controls within the text editor dissapeared (In quick reply and in advanced)

Help would be appreciated

EDIT: The avatars and editing controls work fine for all other themes (*EXCEPT the theme set as DEFAULT*)

Quid pro quo: not an experienced vB admin.

How would you normally debug this? Do you have, say, Firefox with Firebug installed?

Chrome also has a built-in debugger (which I think is there by default). IE's tool is a tad clunky, but I think it's available, at least on IE9 (try pushing F12 while on the page).

If you "inspect" an avatar, what do you see? The browser is rendering what it's told to render. How does the affected style render the HTML compared to the same spot in "the other theme(s)"?

edit: don't mean to sound "uppity" ... just need/wanted information to make an educated guess :)

Admin CP > Settings > Options > Style & Language Settings

Are Default Style for Mobile Browsers and Default Style for Modern Mobile Browsers set to none? If not, they need to be.

Ok let me explain this a little better... theme 1 was originally my default theme... editor controls did not show and avatar sizes were very small... theme 2 was the theme I was working on... when it was NOT set as the default theme, editor controls were showing and avatar sizes were normal.. theme 2 is now the default theme and the editor controls DO NOT show and the avatars are smaller... theme 1 avatar sizes are normal now and editor controls show...

I'm not sure what needs to be debugged because you can visually see. The issues

For all editing control just try in

Admin CP > Settings > Options > Style & Language Settings

to set none for predefined mobile browser, both fields.
If you still cannot see advanced control there is some problem in ur style.
