I'm "in charge" of a fairly large number of sites.

Among these are 4 sites with forums; two of them are vB, and the other two will be moving soon.

Being an avid fan of tabbed browsing and a "wannabe multitasker" :p, I can easily envision myself making changes in foobar.com/admincp instead of wibbleblargh.com/admincp and breaking something on the "wrong site". It might take several minutes to notice ... and God forbid I do it late on a Friday, or before I have an appointment or afternoon meeting, vacation, etc.

Is there any way to have the main "Control Panel Home" page show me which site I'm on? If not, is there interest in a plug-in or hack to do this?

Sorry if this is painfully obvious, a FAQ, the subject of 57 other plugins, etc. A quick Googling didn't produce much, and neither did a board search here.

The easiest way to do something like this is replace the cp_logo.gif file for the ACP on each site with the logo of the site.

There is no programming needed that way.

You can also edit the Control Panel Phrases so they appear the way you want in the browser tabs.

And if you didn't know, you can change the style for the ACP just as you can for the main forum. Check out the Styles forum for quite a few ACP styles.

I'll talk with "the boss" about the logo hack. We tend to like "simple" when we can get it ;)
