I want to do the following:
- Record audio via mic option, embedded in every "Reply" post.
- Record webcam option, embedded in every "Reply" post
I would like to use the software Red 5 http://www.red5-recorder.com/features.php, but I do not know how to add it to my vbulletin publishing suite pro so that the option to record video will appear in every reply post..... Please help me.
- Also, can I embed text-to-speech (a lot of them) in my website (like in the blog section)?
Hi, welcome to the site. Just so you know, this site is run by the community on a volunteer basis, so you have to be patient because not everyone visits every day and it can take time to get an answer. Also, it's not necessary to post the same question in multiple forums - I think most people will look at both the general dicussion and programming forums so you don't have to worry a lot about posting in the wrong one.
As to your questions, well, I'd say if you are able to do some basic html and maybe some php yourself, but you need to learn how to customize vbulletin, we can help you but you need to be prepared to jump in and start learning. If you can't do any of that stuff, then you can ask if a modification already exists, and you can ask for someone to develop one for you in the "Modification Requests" forum, but unless it's something simple you would probably need to be prepared to pay someone to do the work for you. In that case you can post in the "Requests for Paid Services" forum.
Also, you will want to search the site for existing threads that might mention things you are trying to do, and you'll want to search the "mods" forum to see if there's anything there that can help you.
Anyway, I hope this helps.

kh99, thank you very much. I don't know much if any of html, but I am more than happy and willing to learn.
Sorry for the multiple posts -- I have today and today only to get this part of the website up and running, so I am feeling a bit hectic.
I'll check out the Mod forum.

You need to read the fine print on their website. And I quote,
•Windows or Linux dedicated server: we need to install and run RED5 solution on your server. For this you need a dedicated server that allows you to install JAVA applications. If you do not have any dedicated server, we can advise you dedicated solutions plans starts as low as 29.90 €/month including 120 Gigas of HardDisk, remote desktop access and 100 mega of bandwith. No virtual hosting: a real dedicated hosting !
Um that's a server intensive program.

What does "server intensive program" mean? Does that mean it uses an intense amount of server space?
So it really isn't free in any way. Do you know of anything that is cheaper, or actually free?
Do you know what I'm going for here, with having an embedded webcam recorder in each reply post in my forum?

Server intensive doesn't have to do with the space, it has to do with the processing needed. It could slow your server down quite a bit so it takes longer for users to view your pages.

So it basically sounds like it's not even worth it. I want my website to run fast. But actually if they offer their own server, wouldn't that mean that their server would handle the processing of the webcam recording and playback? That would mean that my website would still run quickly, right?

As their note says, if you have a dedicated server, it should be no problem. If you are on shared hosting, then I don't think you should be looking into that.
