Hi! I believe that question I came here for should be placed in "General discussions" under vB3 or vB4, but lack of vB licence prevents me of posting there, so I hope this thread won't be deleted here, eh...

I saw somewhere link to "own profile", i.e., whoever clicks that link, it goes to his own profile; it was something like this:

some-forum . com / members&action=profile&user=self

However, I also remember that link did not work in all forums, it probably depended on VB version and links configuration on that specific forum.

Does anyone know of such a link?

Thanks in advance!

if you are not licensed, why would we answer your question regarding coding?!... tssss

btw, this is already by default on any vBulletin... check the url of your profile here on top right, click your username!

Well, I'm talking from point of view of member, not board owner - if I'm just a member of forum that runs on vB, I still can't post there... or you want to say that this is proper place for question like this, and "General discussions" under vB3 or vB4 forums are for forum owners only?

Doesn't work; that link shows

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?u=417376

Maybe I did not explain well; I'm after link that will go to profile of a person who clicks that link (own profile, self profile...); if I click it, it opens my profile; if you click it, it opens your profile, etc...

Thanks for reply anyway!

yeah, vBulletin does not have a default code for the profile page... you have a custom link for everybody... that's how it works, sorry!

but someone could write a little workaround that would do the trick, though... maybe me ?!.. :)

Would be nice! :)

I have seen it somewhere, as I said earlier; for example, instead of this link:

www.vbulletin.org/forum/member.php?u=417376

it was something like

www.vbulletin.org/forum/member.php?u=self

So, you see the difference I mean: anyone who clicks first link, will go to my profile; but anyone who clicks second link, will go to his own profile!

you can contact your forum owner and ask him to install this:

...that's all i can do... :)

vBulletin.org is primarily a place for forum owners, not end users, so you must be licenced to post in almost all areas, including any support questions. Closing this as its not a feeedback thread.
