I am sorry if this has been answered before but I just searched around here and found nothing really helpful. If I have a new set of button images (these to be exact (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=156773)) how the heck do I replace the current button images? The /images/buttons directory is no good and I can't find anything in the .CSS editor that is helpful.

I have continued to search this site but have found no information regarding this. I am not lazy and am trying my best here. Please someone give me some kind of direction.

I just started to get familar with vBulletin (completely new at this) but i think you can replace the default buttons.

Maybe create a new folder and move the default buttons into it (for backup), then just rename your buttons with the names of the default buttons you want to replace and upload them into the correct folder (via ftp).

Or create a new Style (dublicate / copy from the one you are using), if this is possible, and rename & replace the buttons.

Installation:

Simply upload the files to your forum/images/buttons and forum/images/misc directories. To uninstall, copy the originals back.

That works only for VB3 versions, not VB4 unfortunately.

It doesn't matter what version it is. You just have to make sure the filename, fileending and the folder is correct.

If you need an other fileending, get a graphics software (like gimp) and load the file and save it in an other format you need.

That is wrong. It does matter whether it's vB4 (and what version of vB4). Current versions do not use the button images in the editor folder anymore. In fact, they have been removed with vB 4.1.11. The only file still relevant is sprite.png.

We're running 4.1.10 and I can't find those sprites, although there is a sprites folder. Still looking for some help please.

In the editor folder, there is sprite.png.
