Hi,

I run a business forum and want users to be able to apply to become an advertiser. Is there anyway I can set up an online application form on vbulletin?

There are mods that help you to make forms. Do some searching.

But do you really have advertisers knocking down your door like that? I'd be interested to know how many you expect to allow and what criteria they will have to meet.

On our forum we have to fight to sell even our cheapest sponsorships in person. And at that we have to design their banners for them. And we're damn lucky if they renew.

It is not advertisers for banners etc on our website. Its for them to be able to sell wholesale stock and business services to our other members. Only advertisers will be allowed to start threads in our forum marketplace. This is to deter spammers from constantly joining our forum to just advertise for free.

Ah. Sounds more like a spam issue then, nothing to do with 'advertising'. Forms might work, but I imagine spammers could fill those out as easily as anyone else.

Bots are easy enough to block these days, but the real humans are the big problem these days. Good Luck.
