How to move my board from /forum to root?

Hello buddies,

I have my forum at domain.com/forum
And want to move him to domain.com

Is there any way of changing /forum directory to root?
I mean, without redirecting and loosing any kind of information.

I also don't want to loose my urls indexed by search engines.

you move the content of forum/ to your root-directory.

After that you must change the settings in ACP (Cookies, Forum-Path etc.)

My main problem is the urls at google... dont want to loose traffic
Is there any chance to redirect old urls to the new ones?

Mhm... you can make a redirection:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234274

With this hack, all users who comes from a searchengine get linked to a specific thread. Than they dont get a 404 error-page.

A redirection to the realy threads is possible but i dont know exactly how. I'll take a look tomorow.
