I am having a problem with my User group permissions :\
The basics of what I am trying to do is as followed...
After people register they are unable to post on the forums unless they are in a certain group.
From within that certain group it has the exact same permission as the "Registered user's group'. The only difference is that it can post,edit,reply.
I I put the 'allowed to post' group as the primary everything is fine.
However if I put the 'member of clan' group as primary and 'allowed to post' group as secondary. They are unable to post..
What gets me is even If i put the 'allowed to post' group as primary. The 'member of clan' group will still say which forums/thread can be viewed....
Sorry if this is confusing :\ I've already made a post through the vbulletin.com support with no reply for 36 hours :\..
Any help would be great... PLEASE PLEASE SAVE ME BEFORE I BLOW zForces head off with a 12 gage!
EDIT :
This is what I had posted to vB support..
We are having a problem with our forums permissions.
We want to make it so that if they are not in a certain group they will be unable to post on our forums.. With that in mind we also have the Primary group that each person belongs to. The Primary groups decide which forums the user will be able to view and the other mics setting Vb offers.
The problem is that is not always the case.. :\
If you go to our test site you can see that permission work the way I want perfectly.. ( http://mfc4life.com/vbtest )
However on the main site this is not the case :\

Edit 2: Better explanation..
Basically if they are not part of group (a) I do not want them to post.
However, I want the rest of the group to determine what permission they have to what forums and the such...
So lets say
a = Steam Connected
b = registered user
c = clan member
d = administrator
Now, If I put (C) as primary and (A) as secondary. They see all forums and are unable to post.
Now, If I put (A) as primary and (C) as secondary. They are able to post and see all forums.
Now, If I put (B) as primary and (A) as secondary. They only see the public stuff & cant post.
Now, If I put (A) as primary and (B) as secondary. They only see the public stuff and can post :\
Now, If I put (D) as primary and (A) as secondary. They can see all forums and post.
Now, If I put (A) as primary and (D) as secondary. They can see all forums and post.
The only Thing I can think is that (D) is a pre-made vBulletin group.. :\\\ Please please please some help :D
So what would be cause the posting permission to stick to only the Primary group but allow view permission to over ride it?
